Q: How do I choose a dentist for my family and my cosmetic needs?
A: The best compliment anyone can have about Dr. Carollo and his office are the referrals of new patients from his existing patients. Most of our new patients are referred from our existing patients.
Q: How does Dr. Carollo keep up to date on all of the current techniques and materials?
A: Dr. Carollo subscribes to the latest industry journals to keep tabs on research and development in the dental industry, and attends more continuing education seminars and conferences than required on areas of interest such as implant dentistry and cosmetic reconstructive dentistry. Most Importantly, Dr. Carollo lectures and teaches numerous lectures each year.
Q: Do you accept referrals?
A: We’re happy to accept referrals from other dental offices as well as from recommendations by our patients to their family and friends. We request that a patient evaluation form be completed prior to the first visit; we also suggest that all recent records and x-rays be forwarded to our office.
Q: Can you show me what my smile can look like ahead of time with imaging software?
A: Absolutely! Dr. Carollo has a vast patient library of every type of dental situations to show you. Using digital photography, we can show you before and after expected results.
Q: Do you accept my insurance plan?
A: Our office is willing to work with any insurance company, (we are participating provider with New Jersey Delta Dental Premiere Plan). This means that we'll be happy to file your insurance for you. We do ask that patients understand up front the limitations of their own coverage, and take responsibility for their portion of the bill not covered by insurance. Our fees are determined based on our time, materials and overhead costs. We are well versed in the latest coverage trends, and are more than happy to discuss the particulars of your plan with you prior to any treatments you may undergo. Our financial coordinator will help you with all your insurance and financial arrangements.
Q: What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
A: We understand dental emergencies happen! Dr. Carollo handles after patient hours emergencies when the need arises. If the office is closed, the recording will give you the emergency number to call.
Q: How can I whiten my teeth?
A: Dr. Carollo offers safe whitening methods for you. All methods have been researched by the American Dental Association and have been proven safe for tooth structure. We offer Opalescence 1-hour Boost tooth whitening and Opalescence Night Tray System. We can find a whitening solution that is right for you.

Q: Can I get rid of these ugly, black fillings?
A: Yes! Silver fillings ("Amalgam") are becoming a thing of the past. There are many ways to restore teeth with materials that virtually disappear and blend with the natural color of your teeth.
Q: I had some crowns placed some time ago, and I noticed that now I have a dark line at the gum line. What can I do?
A: Many patients have this complaint. Until recently, crowns were done one of two ways: gold, or "porcelain fused to metal." The porcelain fused to metal crowns (PFMs) have been the standard way to make a white, or tooth colored crown, for many years. The porcelain is baked onto a metal substructure. The metal was necessary for strength. Unfortunately, it is difficult to mask out the dark color of the metal. This results in porcelain that looks opaque or chalky. The margin of the crown (where the crown meets the tooth) has to be in metal. This is what causes "dark line syndrome." Dentists would often try to hide this metal margin underneath the gum line. This results in the gum appearing dark in this area. Or even worse, if the gum recedes, the metal is exposed creating a very unattractive appearance.
Today, we have a solution! Today's all-ceramic (all-porcelain, Procera) crowns eliminate metal completely. That means no darkness at the gum line... ever!
Q: What makes Dr. Carollo’s office different than any other dental practice I can visit?
A: When you become a patient of our practice, we think of you as a person, not just another set of teeth to fix and clean. Our goal is to help you obtain and then maintain the best possible oral health. So, we take time to understand your dental history and evaluate the best options for your particular dental needs. That means looking beyond the surface problems and considering the underlying issues that may either be causing problems now, or that may lead to problems down the road. And we recommend long- term solutions, so that your teeth and smile lasts a lifetime.
Q: What are the office hours?
A: Our office is open:
